As many of you have heard about Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman on the news lately, the most dangerous drug lord in Mexico. El Chapo has been recaptured and put back into "Mexico's highest security prison" in which he already has escaped from once after a month of being in there. El Chapo's workers built a mile long tunnel staring in a living room of a house and ended in shower stall in the cell El Chapo was in. They installed lights, a ventilation system, and a motorcycle which ran in railroad tracks. El Chapo escaped the "highest security prison" in Mexico, so I think that
Mexico's government should transport El Chapo to America so that he's actually in a "highly secured prison". If El Chapo escaped the prison in Mexico once he can do it again at any given time. By bringing him to America into a better prison where his chances are less likely of escaping ,then there would be less crime and drugs happening in Mexico. A lot of people in Mexico especially young teens are being introduced to drugs and crime. People are scared to be out on the streets cause he has many people who work for him and kill anyone gets in his way or gives any information about him to authorities or news reporters. If he left Mexico teens would stay in school and stop doing drugs and violence would decrease, also people would be able to go out and do whatever it is they need to do that day without being afraid of them getting shot by one of El Chapo's workers. Parents would be more calm in letting their children go outside and play knowing El Chapo is in a "higher security prison" out of the country.

While this is a great idea, I believe part of the problem is that the Mexican government wants to handle him themselves instead of handing him over to another government, and the U.S. most likely does not want to have to take care of another countries' criminals no matter how dangerous he is.
ReplyDeleteI find your opinion very interesting. El Chapo is well known all over the world. He has a lot of "ride or die" friends, and they would be literally willing to die for him. That's a huge loyalty. Anyways, I do agree with what Dante said, I also think that if El Chapo makes a huge impression to young adult or kids from his poor choices in Mexico, if we do bring him here in America, would he make the same impact here?
ReplyDeleteIf his friends are willing to kill anybody and dig a mile of tunnel with vents and lights, don't you think that his friends could still go over the border, come up with another idea of how to bust him out?.. Don't get it in the wrong way, I do still feel sympathy towards the children and other people that gets hurt in Mexico.... I'm not a strong believer of death sentence either but, he's the one who influence a lot of people to do crazy bad things, and in my point of view that would be the only answer, and let's hope that nobody replaces him and create the same/worse impact towards people.
This would be a very good idea. He is very well known in Mexico, so his friends know what jail he is at, which makes it easier for him to escape. The only way i think this would work is i they transferred him here secretly, so that his friends wont know where he is at.

ReplyDeleteI think placing El Chapo in a American prison isnt the best idea, placing El Chapo am American prison might give him business opportunities since he is like a Rock-star/most fear in the drug world . P.S. i bet that they're going to make a movie about El Chapo . P.S. I would see that Movie
