The quake-maker you've never heard of: Cascadia

The earth is revealing signs of an earthquake getting ready to attack and its coming from deep down in the earth. This earthquake could make history in North America being it will be the most powerful earthquake to ever happen if it erupts entirely. This earthquake if it decides to strike is at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. It reaches 700 miles along the Pacific Northwest. It reaches from  British Columbia's Vancouver through Washington and Oregon down to Northern California. The Cascadia, the name of this earthquake has some history from 2011 when it hit Japan. There is a website called "Aftershock" that allows people who live in Oregon to look up the risk they're in depending in the area they live in. If and when this earthquake decides to erupt it can injure more than 26,000 and kill up to 11,000 people. This Cascadia earthquake can be up to a 9.0 magnitude earthquake plus a tsunami.

  1. This is very interesting. Cascadia is something that I hear about every now and then in the news, but it never goes into much detail. The number of casualties are ridiculously high. I wish you would have talked about any precautionary measures that have been put in place, if there are any.

  2. Not only is this interesting but it also very informative. It is like a warning to those who are near that area. it could help them prepare for it so that the damages wont be a big.

  3. I never knew that the earthquake that happened in Japan has a name and that it's still "active." This information is nice to know in case someone is afraid they are in danger and decides it would be safer if they moved, and maybe convinced their friends or family to do the same. It could save a lot of lives.
